#GoodGovernanceSport presented during scientific congress

Good Governance in Sport project presented at the Second International Scientific Congress "Applied Sciences in Sport", jointly with the First Balkan Congress "Physical Education, Sport, Health" at the NSA "Vasil Levski"

In the period November 15-16, 2019, the Second International Scientific Congress "Applied Sciences in Sport" was held at the National Sports Academy, Vasil Levski, in cooperation with the First Balkan Scientific Congress "Physical Education, Sport, Health". In the two days of the congress program, 317 registered participants from 21 countries participated, and 264 authors presented 127 reports in plenary and parallel sessions, as well as in the poster session.

Vice-rector for scientific and international activities, Prof. Tatyana Yancheva - Vice-President of the Congress, thanked all participants and expressed satisfaction with the good and fruitful discussions during the sessions. She expressed special gratitude to the leading speakers at the Congress - Ms. Karina Angelieva, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Dr. Yuri Shefer, President of the International Council for Sport Sciences and Physical Education, Prof. Natalia Stambulova and Prof. Juri Balash, as well as moderators of the parallel scientific sessions.

In the poster session the results of the project #GoodGovernanceSport were presented. "Good governance in sport" project, coordinated by the "Bulgarian sports development association", has been co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission - Sport chapter and it is a collaborative partnership of 7 countries, that will work together for 30 months, starting from 01/01/2018. #GoodGovernanceSport project aims to find a way to analyze, collect and promote good practices for appropriate visibility of decisions made, responsible bodies and transparency of sports organizations in Europe and partner countries. The results of a comprehensive survey of the websites of 56 sports organizations at national and European level were presented, aiming to determine the extent to which the sports structures guarantee the transparency of the decisions taken and the financial operations they are already implementing in the final stages.
